CAC PUBLISHES LIST OF COMPANIES TO BE STRUCK OFF ITS REGISTER

On the 31^st of July, 2023, the Corporate Affairs Commission issued a public notice informing the General Public that the Commission has commenced striking off companies that have failed to comply with the provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 2020 from the Register.

Affected companies are advised to ensure their annual returns are up to date within 90 days of publication on the Commission’s website to avoid being struck off.

It is important to note that it shall be unlawful for any company struck off the Commission’s Register to carry on business in Nigeria. Such a company can however be re-listed on the Commission’s Register by an order of the Federal High Court.
